Exhibiting at a Conference in the Post-COVID Environment

9th November 2021

Davies recently exhibited at the National Workers’ Compensation and Disability Conference (NWCDC) in Las Vegas, which resumed in person after taking a COVID break in 2020.  While attendance and the number of exhibitors was notably down, there was a positive buzz around the conference associated with a familiar setting feeling that was absent for almost two years.  It was so good to meet in person over breakfast or a drink and rekindle friendships and business connections in person.

The NWCDC marked the first time Davies’ name graced an exhibit booth at a major conference in the US.  Many attendees stopped by the booth, piqued by curiosity, to inquire about this new company and the services we offer (our promotional items, smartly displayed and received with wide acclaim, attracted a lot of attention as well!).  The sales and marketing team worked the booth in full force to engage attendees, answer questions, and inquire about their claims providers.

Given the low attendance, the conference was nevertheless a success; perhaps the biggest success seeing the Davies brand displayed prominently at a major conference – for the first time.  The sales team left the conference with a pocket full of solid leads, confidence with the positive feedback from business contacts, and a renewed sense of energy associated with getting back to some sense of normalcy.

While it will take time for conferences to get back to the pre-COVID level, and some business practices will be altered permanently, it felt good to reconnect, attend sessions, network, and get back to building relationships in person.  Wide smiles, shining through masks, were present throughout.  We eagerly await the next in-person Conference!
